Curtain Raiser To ‘Textiles India 2017’, The Next Big Indian Textile Revolution Is Coming Soon

The Ministry of Textiles organized a curtain raiser to ‘Textiles India 2017’.

The Government of India has scheduled the first-ever business-to-business (B2B) event for the global promotion of Textile and handicrafts from June 30 – July 2, 2017, Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India and will be inaugurated by Honorable PM Narendra Modi.

Textile India 2017 is expected to have more than a thousand stalls and will witness the presence of over 2000 international buyers, designers, retail chains, agents from all over the world, and 18,000 domestic buyers. The Ministry has been encouraging entrepreneurs to step in and start their own clothing line to support the Textile ecosystem in India. The event brought forward the vision of the PM Narendra Modi – “From Farm to Fibre, Fibre to Factory, Factory to Fashion, Fashion to Foreign.” The event was hosted under the leadership of Minister of Textiles, Smriti Zubin Irani and Minister of State, Ajay Tamta.
