Yesteryear actor Mumtaz created a sensation with her drape back in 1968 using a simple orange chiffon saree that had a thin sequinned gold border. The drape is named after her called “The Mumtaz Style Drape”. Inspired by her styling sensibilities back in the 60’s a clothing brand from Chennai named “Colors and Mirrors” had fun with the drape here using their Chettinaad checks Denim Saree “Drapes in Denim”.
