The couple united their two novel universes in a progression of energetic festivals, coming full circle in a delightful Christian Wedding on Dec. 1 and a colorful Hindu Wedding the next day at the stupendous Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India.

It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love.  Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together. And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. Priyanka Chopra’s marriage makes for a staggering lady of the hour in an exceptionally red Sabyasachi lehenga. Hand-weaved and hand-cut organza blooms, French bunches in silk floss, sensitive Siam-red precious stones and an endless supply of crochet weaving make this bit of outlandish couture. 110 embroiderers from Calcutta, India took 3720 hours to make this beautiful work of art.
